Community Activities

Open to all who wish to contribute to the betterment of society through spiritual growth, education, and service.

Building Community Together

The Bahá'í community in Kosovo welcomes all people to participate in activities that foster spiritual growth, develop capacity for service, and strengthen the bonds of friendship and collaboration. These activities are open to everyone, regardless of background or belief.

Devotional Gatherings

(all ages) bring people of all backgrounds and beliefs together in prayer, song and meditation. They reflect the diverse cultural character of local communities and seek to stimulate meaningful conversations that can lead to action.

As worship is linked with acts of service, a unifying spirit begins to permeate the community. Gatherings are held wherever "the mention of God [can] be made."

Study Circles

(ages 15–adult) are small groups that meet regularly, usually in the home of a group member, to study passages from the Bahá'í writings on the life of the soul and such themes as learning about consultation, accompanying one another in service and promoting the arts.

This training builds capacity, skills and knowledge for a life of service to the community. Participants come to recognize that they have the power to re-create the world around them.

Children's Classes

(ages 5–11) are for a community's youngest and most precious treasures. They provide the early seeds of moral and spiritual education and introduce the oneness of humanity. All of the community's children are welcome.

These classes help children discover and strengthen their inherent spiritual qualities like kindness, patience and generosity through stories, songs, prayers and art.

Junior Youth Program

(ages 12–15) motivate young people to explore complex issues, consult about neighbourhood needs, plan and carry out acts of service and find positive avenues for recreation and artistic expression.

Faced with navigating a crucial time in their lives, participants work to build moral clarity for the many decisions they'll face. Working with mentors called "animators," youth from all backgrounds develop a global identity, wisdom, compassion, decision-making skills and a mindset of service to others.

Community Service

Bahá'ís and their friends engage in acts of service that contribute to the well-being of neighborhoods and society. These may include environmental projects, educational initiatives, social gatherings, or efforts to address local needs.

Service is seen as a spiritual act and an expression of love for humanity, contributing to justice and unity.

Social Gatherings

In addition to formal activities, Bahá'ís and friends gather informally to celebrate milestones, enjoy each other's company, and strengthen bonds of friendship and unity.

These gatherings create spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect, share stories, and experience the joy of community.

How to Participate

All activities are open to everyone, regardless of religious background or affiliation. You do not need to be a Bahá'í to participate. Our gatherings are characterized by warmth, respect, and a spirit of learning together.

If you're interested in joining a devotional gathering, study circle, children's class, junior youth group, or community service project, we'd love to hear from you.

A Pattern of Life

"Let your vision be world-embracing, rather than confined to your own self."
