The Bahá'í Faith
A global community united by a vision of peace, justice, and the oneness of humanity.
What is the Bahá'í Faith?
The Bahá'í Faith is a global religion established by Bahá'u'lláh in the 19th century. With millions of followers in virtually every country, it is one of the fastest-growing religions in the world.
At its core, it teaches the oneness of God, the unity of all religions, and the essential unity of humanity. The Faith emphasizes that all people are equal and possess inherent nobility, calling for the elimination of prejudice in all its forms. It also presents religion as a progressive process through which spiritual truth is revealed over time, and highlights the importance of developing spiritual qualities alongside material progress.
Bahá'u'lláh
The Divine Educator
God summoned Bahá'u'lláh—meaning the "Glory of God"—to deliver a new Revelation to humanity. Declaring His mission in 1863, His teachings outlined a framework for developing a global civilization that embraces both the spiritual and material dimensions of human life. Bahá'u'lláh endured 40 years of imprisonment, torture, and exile, during which thousands of verses, letters, and books flowed from His pen. He passed away in 1892.
